Day 1 : Lao Cai – Sa Pa Walking Tour – Cat Cat Villages – Silver Water Fall





Arrive Lao Cai Train Station around 5:00. Then take an one hour bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces that make Sapa famous with travelers.


 Have breakfast and freshen up upon arrival to Sapa town. Then take a morning walking tour of Sa Pa to visit a busy market where Red Dao, Black H’mong and other ethnic minority people converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silverware and handicrafts, and to buy provisions. It is where you will find fabric stained from dyed shade of blue, red and green intricately embroidered and stitched … or the rainbow colors of the Flower H’mong, flashes of the shining silver jewellery from the necks and wrists of indigo-clad H’mong and the scarlet hues of the turbans worn by the Red Dao.

In the afternoon, take a walk down to the South-west of Sapa (around 3 km) to visit Cat Cat Village of the Black H’mong, one of the more well-known ethnic village of Sapa.Relax at the foot of the stunning Silver Waterfall and the vestige of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam.

Get transferred back to Sapa town and free at leisure until dinner. Overnight at Sapa Hotel.

Day 2: Sa Pa – Lao Chai/Ta Van & Ta Phin Villages – Lao Cai – Return to Hanoi





In the morning, have breakfast at the hotel.


 Then enjoy a trek to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin. Red Dao is probably the ethnic group with the most beautiful traditional costume. It is very easy to catch sights of women, who wear colorful clothes, gathering together and make some handmade products with various stunning bright red colors and patterns.

In the afternoon, trek through the green Sa Pa Valley to visit the Black H’mong minority of Lao Chai Village and Giay minority of Ta Van then back to Sapa. On the way, visitors can admire the sight of a range of huge mountain looms dimply in the veil of smog on one side and rice terraces on the other side.

Have fresh shower, check out and prepare to get to the train station. Get transferred to Lao Cai Train station at 18:00: and catch the train back Hanoi.

Day 1 :Bac Ha market (on Sunday only) – Sapa





Arrive Lao Cai Train Station around 6:00.


 Then take a two hour transfer to Bac Ha Mountain. Located at about 70km from Lao Cai and 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers with the most colorful market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam. This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8 ethnic groups and last from 9:00 until

14:00. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).

In the afternoon, go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho, home of flower H’mong minority. We are invited to enter several local houses to have some green tea, corn wine, listen to the host talking about their family, talk to them…

Enjoy landscapes on the way coming back from Bac Ha Market to Lao Cai and continue up to Sapa.

Today trek for 7km down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong.Enjoy views of magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies… from above.


 Then 3km trekking down to Lao Chai Village, 4 km through terraced rice fields to Ta Van Village of the Dzay minority people.

Have picnic lunch at a local family, where you can see the local house architecture and witness local daily life styles and exclusive customs.

Enjoy the landscapes on the way until getting back to Sapa by jeep or motorbike in the afternoon and get transferred to Lao Cai station for overnight train to Hanoi.

Day 1 :Lao Cai – Sapa Town’s Highlights





Arrive Lao Cai Train Station around 5:00.

Upon checking out the station, our guide will be waiting to pick you up. Then transfer for 01 hour in a private car uphill toward the Hoang Lien Son mountain and Sapa. Stops as much as you wish for over views or photos of stunning valleys, terraced rice fields and magnificent scenery.


Have breakfast upon your arrival to Sapa town. Then walk with our guide around this charming town for a brief introduction.

First, visit the the market where ethnic minority people of different groups wearing their traditional costumes comes every day selling local vegetable, bamboo shoot, mushroom, medicinal herbs and souvenirs either made, grown or harvested made by their hands…there are chances to get intact and taking photos.

Then follow the footsteps uphill to the top of Ham Rong Mountain for over viewing beautiful scenery of the town and surrounding area. Pay a visit to an orchard garden and a mini museum which tells a detailed account of ethnic minority groups living in Sapa and the northwest of Vietnam.

Day 2 : Ta Phin Commune – Silver Waterfall (Fall for Lovers) – Tram Ton Pass

 At 09:00, leave the hotel to visit Ta Phin Village. Our guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to the center of the valley for a walk afterward tracing the path of the village winding around the valley.From high elevation, great view of the valley stretching under your feet.

Pass by and see up close Black H’mong quaint traditional house scattering on your way, as well as meet groups of Red Zao women making their beautiful handicrafts includes embroidered clothes, handbags…Located in a large valley, surrounded by high mountains covered by pine trees and forest, this area is home to the Red Zao and Black H’mong ethnic. And although living close to each other for years, these two ethnic peoples are very different: The H’mong are cheerful and open minded while the Red Zao are economical and reserved…

Drive back to your hotel and enjoy noon break.

Then meet your guide and driver again for a leisure trip. This afternoon’s uphill drive offers most spectacular scenery of Fansipan Mount. Just a kilometer out of the town, rose flower farms and later chayote grows on bamboo frames covered a vast area.

Stop at the Silver Waterfall before reaching to the top of the highest mountain pass in Vietnam. Enjoy enjoy breathtaking scenery of the two side of Fansipan Mountain at its best point of view, where the wind blows stronger to force the clouds moving constantly and unveiling an an amazing contrast of weather: foggy and cloudy on Sa Pa side and sunny brightly the other side.

Day 3 :Visit Muong Hoa Valley – Lao Cai





In the morning, have breakfast at the hotel.


 Today spend time exploring the spectacular Muong Hoa Valleylying on the south of Sapa Town.

Enjoy a transfer through the only road to the valley, built on the side of a mountain range with an advantage height over the valley, and views of magnificent landscapes composed of high mountains, deep valleys, and stream of water winding, waterfalls and terraced rice paddies….

Then stop and leaving the main road for a short walk to tribal villages such as Ta Van of the Zay, Su Pan of the Black H’mong, Ban Ho of the Tay… Meet locals at their home and at their works.

In the afternoon, come back to the main road and get transferred to Sapa, freshen up prepare for the night train.

At 18:00: Transfer to Lao Cai Train Station and catch over night train back Hanoi.

Arrive Lao Cai Train Station around 6:00 AM


 We will take 1hr bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

Arrive Sapa town, have breakfast & fresh up for a while.

After that take a 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong. The beauty of Y Linh Ho valley is adorned with green mixed gold of terraced rice field and corn field, imposing mountain coved by bushy plants and the fabulous white mixed blue clouds on sky.

Continue to get over 3km for trekking down to Lao Chai Village of H’mong people. To go inside the village, tourists trek through a small bridge led to Muong Hoa valley. There are some traditional houses of H’Mong people, streams flow tranquilly mixed with the smell of flowers and fields, all of them make a relaxed feeling for the new comers.

After lunch time at a local family in Lao Chai or in a drink shop nearby the river bank, we keep on hiking to Ta Van Village of the Dzay where we stay overnight in a local family. Here you have opportunity to experience their daily life, work and original custom.

Day 2 : Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa





8 KM walking to visit 2 villages of the red Dzao, the H’mong (Giang Ta Chai & Su Pan).


Opposite to Muong Hoa stream, Giang Ta Chai lies silently by a majestic waterfall and is hidden by old trees and bamboo groves. Red Dao is the second biggest group of minority people in Sapa in Vietnam. Coming to the village, tourists will be charmed immediately with the out-standing traditional costumes of the local people; and most of those clothes are made from natural materials

Supan includes 4 small hamlets of the Black H’mong and Red Zao. Because of a poor village, here you do not see the scenery or sound of commercialization like some other villages. The simplicity of ethnic inhabitants and natural sights are still remained. Most of Supan’s people gain their living based on agriculture.

Visit a beautiful waterfall and rattan bridge.

After visit Giang Ta Chai village and Supan village, head back to the main road to catch the jeep and return to Sapa.

Around 18:00 Share tourist bus to Lao cai Station.

Have picnic lunch at a family in Su Pan, and then ride another 10km of rocky road down the valley to Ban Ho Village. Stop at the home stay of your Tay host to drop off your gear, then take a walk around the village or have a swim at the village’s waterfall for unwinding.

Free to exploring until a simple but fresh and tasteful dinner in a local house. Overnight in the Tay’s stilt house.

Then cycle 8km to Thanh Phu Village, then do a 7km loop along the trail to Nam Sai Village to visit Xa Pho and Red Dzao ethnic minority groups. You will be exploring the further and more remote part of Sapa as well as meet people that are rarely be seen around the busy town.


Head back to Thanh Phu for lunch in a local house, then cycle down the stunning valley to a hanging bridge where your jeep will meet you on the main road. Drive back up the valley to Sa Pa.

Free at leisure until transfer to Lao Cai station at 17:00. Overnight on the train back to Hanoi.

This is the weekly chance for the minorities to meet and share joy and sorrows after the crops, to exchange one another’s experience.

Say goodbye to the market and get down onto a boat along Chay river.  We will take 1hr bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

Arrive Sapa town have breakfast & fresh up for a while.

After that take a 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong. The beauty of Y Linh Ho valley is adorned with green mixed gold of terraced rice field and corn field, imposing mountain coved by bushy plants and the fabulous white mixed blue clouds on sky

Continue to get over 3km for trekking down to Lao Chai Village of H’mong people. To go inside the village, tourists trek through a small bridge led to Muong Hoa valley. There are some traditional houses of H’Mong people, streams flow tranquilly mixed with the smell of flowers and fields, all of them make a relaxed feeling for the new comers.

After that taking 4 km trekking through terraced rice fields to Ta Van Village of the Dzay minority people.

 Enjoy the picnic lunch by the side of the river.

Continue to pass 3 kmto Sin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. From here you can enjoy huge stunning landscapes before climbing up on the way a jeep to return to Sapa.

This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8 ethnic groups and last from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).

In the afternoon, we go for a trek to visit Ban Pho, the village is home of H’mong minority. We are invited to enter several local houses to have some green tea, corn wine, listen to the host talking about their family and their daily life.


 After that, enjoy landscapes on a roundabout way to Bac Ha for getting back to Lao Cai to catch the train or continue up to Sapa (two solutions for travelers).

At the market, you have chance to enjoy BacHa people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches…





 Visitors also can talk with the minorities through the guide’s interpretation.

Leave the market for the H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920.

Return the town for lunch.

Stop at a nice spot for lunch and then head to a fabulously mountainous area, which is the most remote part of Sapa. En route you will meet Red Dao children’s curious eyes as you are one of those rare tourists passing by.

Have an opportunity to enjoy great views of an ever green valley lying along the west bank of the Red River. You arrive in Ta Thang village of Tay minority and then your motorbike will run on the flat road back to Lao Cai.

Your ride will be mostly downhill through the suburb of Sapa. You ride along the smoothy road for 3 km, then get off the main road to head to Ma Tra Village. The Village is home of H’mong ethnic people and only boasts around 50 homes. They survive using their craft such as weaving brocade, silk, forging farming tools and carving silver.

Then head back toTa Phin Village. In Ta Phin, you will witness the daily life of the Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. You will also have time to take a short walk around the local village.

In the afternoon, keep riding up hill then down hill through the forest to Takko pass. From here you will transfer to Sapa to relax in the hotel, have dinner, and enjoy your free night in romantic Sapa town.

Day 2 : Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van





Start this day around 9:00am

Take a 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong. The beauty of Y Linh Ho valley is adorned with green mixed gold of terraced rice field and corn field, imposing mountain coved by bushy plants and the fabulous white mixed blue clouds on sky.


Continue to get over 3km for trekking down to Lao Chai Village of H’mong people. To go inside the village, tourists trek through a small bridge led to Muong Hoa valley. There are some traditional houses of H’Mong people, streams flow tranquilly mixed with the smell of flowers and fields, all of them make a relaxed feeling for the new comers.

After lunch time at a local family, walking through terraced rice fields to reach Ta Van Village of the Dzay minority people, where we stay for the night. It gives you a worth chance to learn about the local house architecture that is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom.

Get back to Sapa by jeep or motorbike. Enjoy the landscapes on the way.

Then having dinner & freshower before taking the car to Lao Cai Train Station.

Leave Sapa to Lao Cai at about 18:00

Over night train back Hanoi

Biking: 14 KM Trekking, 5KM Driving Back Sapa, 40 KM driving to Lao Cai


Meals: Breakfast/Picnic Lunch
Accommodation: 4 Soft sleeper A/C wooden cabin.

Hanoi arrival



 Arrive in Hanoi Station at around 5:30.





 Take a taxi back to hotel by your self.
